10-Day Morocco Tour April 2025 $1,955

Day 1: Arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport where you will be warmly greeted and driven by private transfer to your centrally located accommodation. Spend the rest of the day resting from your flight and enjoy a Moroccan dinner at one of the many excellent local restaurants.

Day 2: Dive into the lively buzz of Djema El Fna square with a licensed local guide where your senses will be delighted as you wind your way through endless shops full of locally crafted goods, admire the intricate local architecture at Bahia Palace and Ben Youssef Madrasa, enjoy sweet mint tea as you engage in the art of good-natured haggling. Don’t forget to take some selfies, and definitely try some street food and fresh orange juice!

Day 3: This kicks off the 4-day Sahara Desert excursion!

Marrakech - Aït-ben-Haddou - Skoura - Boumalne Dades Commence your journey from Marrakech towards Ouarzazate, passing through the majestic Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters. Admire the breathtaking kasbah of Aït-ben-Haddou, a renowned fortified city featured in notable films like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Traverse the scenic road of the "thousand kasbahs" to Skoura, continuing to Kelaat M'gouna, the capital of the Valley of Roses, before arriving at the picturesque Boumalne Dades nestled by the Dades Gorges for your accommodation.

Day 4: Boumalne Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga

Embark on a journey through the enchanting Dadès Valley to witness the impressive Todra Gorges, where you can pause for a delightful lunch. Proceed towards Merzouga, passing through the verdant Palmeraie of Jorf and the charming village of Arfoud. Upon reaching Merzouga, venture into the desert on a camel to reach your camp where you will savor a traditional Moroccan dinner and enjoy the serene and awe-inspiring night sky of the Sahara Desert.

Day 5: Merzouga - Rissani - Ouarzazate

Witness a captivating sunrise in the desert before embarking on a camel ride to explore the region uniquely. Traverse the Palmeraie of Tafilalet and the historic village of Rissani before continuing towards Alnif through the Middle Atlas. Be captivated by the stunning landscapes as you journey through Tizi N'tfarkhin, Tinghir, and the lush Dadès Valley. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in Kelaat M'Gouna before reaching Ouarzazate in the evening for an overnight stay in a riad or kasbah.

Day 6: Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast, take the morning to explore Ouarzazate at your own pace. Visit the iconic Kasbah Taourirt and the renowned Atlas Cinema studios, the largest in Africa. Depart Ouarzazate between 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. for your return journey to Marrakech, arriving in the afternoon.

Day 7: Free day! This is an unstructured day in Marrakech to do as you wish…sleep, explore, and/or unwind like royalty at a deluxe hammam (included, consult with Tour Specialist to book your time).

Day 8: Day trip to Ourika Valley. Enjoy the fresh air and vibrant Amazigh culture of Ourika nestled among the stunning Atlas Mountains! A quick jaunt from Marrakech means less time driving and more time for a liesurely exploration of this beautiful valley. The swift and clear Ourika River forms the lifeline of the valley and along its banks you can wander through local markets full of handcrafted artisanry, enjoy traditional Amazigh foods made with fresh local produce, appreciate the beautiful flora and fauna (including the native Barbary Macaque!), and have a soothing pot of mint tea right at the waters edge. Fascinating history, stunning natural landscapes, gorgeous waterfalls, colourful textiles, and generous, good-humoured locals make this a must-see, offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the famed Atlas Mountains.

Day 9: Another free day in Marrakech to see any sites you missed before, go back to the market to find treasures to bring home, and enjoy your final FULL day in the Red City.

Day 10: Spend a worry-free morning or day soaking in the last bits of enchantment as you prepare to depart, knowing that our drivers will get you to the airport in plenty of time for your flight with the unhurried grace so prevalent in Moroccan culture.
